day 11: goodbye puerto vallarta, hello seattle

18 Feb 2006 (Saturday)

And it's time to say goodbye to Mexico today.

We check out, have breakfast... Oh. And Alvin goes to cut his hair. Mexican style! In the meantime, Ben and I have our last frappucino in Puerto Vallarta.

And then Alvin comes back with his new hairdo...

VERY NICE!!! :)

After tt it's on to the airport, where there are so many people and it is SUCH a mess tt we spend a good bit of our time influenced by the confusion.

Fortunately, there's nothing like a final Mexican cappucino to assuage us somewhat.

Me at least.

Give Ben his Marlboro and he happy already.

The Puerto Vallarta airport has so many people tt it looks like a refugee camp. People waiting for their planes have to sit on the floor cos there just isn't enough space anywhere.

Ben and I are lucky coz our flights to San Fran and Seattle go by without much of a hitch. Except tt Ben's mask got broken by homeland security, which he was pretty ticked off about.

But Alvin's connecting flgiht to Seattle through Denver had been delayed for 1 and a half hours. He finally reached Seattle around 11.10pm. After which we rented a car (for Alvin to drive) and checked into Days Inn North.

But we didn't make use of the hotel at all. We went to Denny's for a VERY HEAVY supper. And from there it was onward to the casino, where we stayed on till morning. I lost a fair bit of money there. *sigh* Not a good gambler lah.

And tt is pretty much our Saturday for you.
